Lessons
I teach guitar and composition lessons out of my home studio in Roswell, GA.
For guitar lessons, I teach pentatonics, modes, 3-note per string scales, economy picking, improvisation, phrasing, vibrato, guitar tone, finding your sound, getting the most from your amp and effects, looping, music theory, and more.
For composition lessons, I teach theory, form, arranging, notation/engraving, music software, synthesis, and workflow. I use several books for compositional practice including Composing Music, Twentieth Century Harmony, Simple Composition, and Musical Structure and Design. I will help you find trouble spots in your pieces and suggest approaches to complete your works and get them recorded and performed.
